Dream a Little Dream Bath

Client Dream a Little Dream Bath Has Big Dreams Come True

Unexpected combinations of clean lines and classic silhouettes, modern details and antique inspired elements, plus layer upon layer of textural interest give our designs a fresh yet nostalgic look and feel.

At Stauffer Design Co. we are proud to say each project just keeps getting better and better. I feel a deep satisfaction with the result of every project in my portfolio, but I feel like each project runs just a little more seamlessly, and the creativity each of my new clients bring is astounding. After working with Client Dream a little Dream Bath, the stakes are high for the next project, but I have every confidence that I will be as blown away by the beautiful, finished product as the next client themselves.

We believe in ‘cleaning the slate’ before we design to get perspective

on who you really are and what you really love.

Client Dream a Little Dream Bath had her dreams in proper detail when she called on Stauffer Design Co. She and her husband had already remodeled both their own kitchen and an entire Airbnb property, but they knew they wanted professional design help to ensure all of their dream bathroom requirements were met. They brought to the table a lot of amazing ideas but wasn’t sure which of them could be accomplished and how much it would cost them. After working through their wish list and creating a detailed budget report that was tailored to exactly what this particular client wanted in their finished space, we reached a budget that they felt comfortable with and that they felt content with what the budget would allow them to implement in their space. I do this through a process that is standard with all new construction clients called The Exploratory Phase.

The Princess and the Pea Wish List

At Stauffer Design Co. we love when clients want their renovated spaces to have character rather than looking brand-spanking-new and trendy.

Here are a few things this client had on her dream wish list. Check out the crossed-out line items to see what we worked together to cut out to provide them with a budget that they felt comfortable spending:

  • Freestanding tub with filler

  • A custom-built vanity with an open space under the sink to display towels and large drawers for more storage.

  • A countertop with high rise and shelf

  • A double-sided fireplace to provide extra warmth to the primary bedroom

  • A large over the commode cabinet for additional storage

  • An extended tile shower

  • A stained-glass window that would provide as much possible natural light and privacy at the same time

  • New tile floors

  • Ceiling treatments such as beams or paneling

  • Paneling detail around the tub

  • New paint

At Stauffer Design Co. We LOVE

to create spaces that look cohesive and balanced, but that include special statement pieces (some new, some antique, some custom) that elevate our client’s home.

When designing a home or space for a client, authenticity is a key value. Clients of Stauffer Design Co. aren’t looking to be someone else or keep up with the Joneses. They just want to show up for life exactly as they are. Sometimes the hardest part of making your house a home on your own is realizing what is really bringing the noise down. Part of the process of working with me is taking action to clear away that noise; the noise of who we aren’t, what we don’t love, and what doesn’t make us joyful. We bring this take-charge process to every project to help clients edit out what won’t give them the transformative results they're looking for. As your encouraging designer, I’m here to help you find out what value these items really bring you and determine how to implement the overall design, and thus, the overall feeling you will have in your new space. As you can see, this client was able to get most of the items on her wish list. They now have a bathroom that serves their family. With two little kids that often use the bathroom and two dogs claim the space as their own too, every corner has something to offer each person and pet.

We believe one of the reasons we exist is to give our clients the pride and happiness that comes from living in homes they adore. This amazing bathroom really brings the adoration factor to a whole new level in each little detail. I honestly, can pick a feature that I love more than another. Can you?
