Week of Thanksgiving Meal Plan
A Week of Thanksgiving Meal Plan because in case you hadn’t noticed, next week is Thanksgiving. I’m typically in the camp of grumps that get crabby when my beloved Thanksgiving gets overlooked, but I am also like most of you that think this year everyone deserves a free pass to just be. Even so, if the Christmas tree is already lit there’s still no harm in partaking in a little Thanksgiving dressing and spiked cider.
Here, Let Me Design will never be about recipes or meal planning, but for this once I’m making an exception. Most of these recipes are staples in our home- The Wild rice soup being one that’s always on demand, the Pork Tenderloin a delicious recipe shared from one of the best cooks I know, and the Spicy Sausage Gnocchi is one that is quick and easy for a busy night.
Whether your making a massive Thanksgiving for the whole famdamily this year or you’ve opted to dine alone, I hope this Week of Thanksgiving Meal Plan satisfies all your cravings and you have lots of room for leftovers. What would Thanksgiving be without the leftovers?
Weeknight Faves
Spicy Sausage and Spinach Gnocchi
Any case of the Mondays can be solved with a warm bowl of this gnocchi dish. Be sure to sprinkle some red chili pepper on top and then kiss your fingers like the Italians do.
Panera Copycat Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
Remember in school when we made crafts for Thanksgiving using corn? It’s craft time again only this time you don’t need the glue.
I’m a girl who loves soup. I really don’t think I’ve met a soup that I didn’t like. Come to think of it, have you ever met someone who said, “Gosh! I hate soup!”? I mean, can you even imagine? Well they wouldn’t hate this soup…I guarantee it!
Pork Tenderloin with Chipotle Cranberry Sauce
A friend of mine, the one I mentioned as one of the best cooks ever, gave me a very similar recipe to this one years ago. Hers involved a crockpot and oh, Mylanta I could have married the smells coming out of my kitchen that day. If you’re not going the Traditional Thanksgiving route on Thursday, I recommend this as a substitute for turkey.
Turkey Meatball Spinach Tortellini Soup
Two soups in one week? Don’t judge. It’s November. What do you want from me?
Autumn Chopped Chicken Salad
After a week of heavy soups and such, your body deserves some greens. Have a salad! This one keeps it in the fall theme and it’s delicious.
Drinks
Bourbon Apple Cider Fizz
Bourbon. Apple cider. Bubbles. Code for I. Love. You.
Sweets
Pecan Pie Brownies
In another world I’d share my Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Bars recipe with you, but I was afraid the ingredient list would scare you away, so I found the next best thing. Save one for me!
What’s on your menu for the Week of Thanksgiving? Are you going to be missing your family this year? Stay safe. Think happy thoughts.
